It's always a 'feel good' moment, to complete something that took months of work, that had you loving it, hating it, pacing the floors, wracking the brains, beating the head against a wall. But this was a new, experimental foray, and that kept me pushing through the challenges. What was different about this one?
The novel is entirely based on a board game. A game that I had been developing for the last few years. As I was working on the game, it dawned on me that the narrative and characters within it had an entire novel’s worth of depth, richness and excitement already there, just waiting to burst forth. So I thought: why not write the book while I’m working on the game?
Thus it was born: Clarion Call - The Novel - a full-length alternate history fantasy novel!
